Social responsibility

Through parallel imported and generic pharmaceuticals Danish society saves billions on a yearly basis. A generic product is on average 75% cheaper than the original counterpart. The mere presence of companies such as Orifarm on the market puts pressure on pharmaceutical prices which indirectly results in even more savings. Without the large savings from generics and parallel imported pharmaceuticals, society could not afford the expensive innovative medicine and treatments that we have today.

Care 4 all - Making a difference
To us it is important to make a difference – not only in the field of pharmaceuticals. We see it as an obligation to act as a socially responsible company.

We contribute to improve the conditions for humans, animals and nature
Examples of what we have supported: 

• Building of three schools in Cambodia. 
• Building of wells in India in order to ensure access to clean drinking water through DanChurchAid. 
• Vaccination and education of children in the Third World through UNICEF. 
• Projects in Southeast Asia for the survival of elephants and tigers. 
• Preservation of wildlife in Eastern Europe and India. 
• The Danish “Plant a Tree” project in a campaign to support Danish forests. 
• Supporting the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society.
