Orifarm is currently looking for an experienced senior purchaser with a strong international profile to join our colleagues in the purchasing department, where commercial talent and personality are a must.
About the job
Orifarm works in a business area (parallel trade) where a shortage of the supply is rather the rule than the exception. In this environment, your goal as a senior purchaser will be to ensure the best possible deals in the combination of price and volume.
You will have purchase responsibility in several European countries and be responsible for building and sustaining close relations with the suppliers.
Your daily work place will be at the Orifarm headquarter in Odense (with the opportunity also to have part working days in our Copenhagen office), with approx. 30 days per year you will be traveling across Europe visiting our suppliers, attending fairs, etc.
Who you are
As a senior purchaser, you have a commercial educational background and at least 5 years of experience within purchasing, key account management, or category management. We expect you to have an international profile and has a successful track record in international stakeholder management. Additionally, we expect that:
- You are proactive in your approach and possess a great drive combined with initiative and flexibility which enables you to challenge the status quo, identify new opportunities and drive improvements
- You are able to see and execute on new opportunities before our competitors, providing creative solutions without compromising your daily structure
- You are hardworking & robust
- You are able to cope with complexity
- You are organized with strong planning ability, problem-solving, and time management skills
- You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and oral (other languages are a plus)
It is also an advantage if you have experience in making decisions based on forecasts, inventory levels, contribution ratios and other key figures.
