Student Assistant – Business Development & Licensing
– do you wish to help fueling Orifarm’s growth rocket?
Do you wish to apply the learnings from your studies in a real-world context? Can you imagine yourself learning the art of business development in the pharmaceutical industry? Would you like to be part of a fun and fast-paced team? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!
About the job
We are looking for a new student assistant to support our team 10-15 hours a week. We offer an opportunity to join a fast-paced environment with a focus on collaboration between departments to ensure we meet the new 2025 strategy of the company.
In this role, your responsibility will grow over time as you will be exposed to a variety of tasks and challenges. Initially, you will be responsible for maintaining the systems and tools that we use in our daily work. You will also be exposed to tasks such as: Market Screening, Project Management, and Market Access support.
We offer you an opportunity to work in attractive working conditions with great options for both personal and professional development – and hopefully a lot of fun on the way.
Who are you?
We are looking for a student within a scientific university program to complement our current student assistants who have other backgrounds. We imagine you have an interest in the pharmaceutical industry and a basic understanding of chemistry/biology and an interest within the field of medicines.
We imagine that you are:
- A current student in a scientific university program – at least about to finish the 1st year of your studies – with strong academic results.
- Genuinely interested in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Willing to work approximately 2 days a week, obviously with flexibility around exam periods.
- Experienced user of the Microsoft Office package – with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Willing to contribute to a fun and transparent working environment where everyone’s opinion matter.
You will be joining a multinational team where we consider the diversity of backgrounds and skillset a strength. Orifarm’s operation is expanding into new territories, so cultural sensitivity and understanding are required to succeed in this role.
Who are we?
In-licensing is part of Orifarm Generics’ Business Development department – a rapidly growing function responsible for building the pipeline for future growth of the company. In In-licensing we constantly look for external opportunities to support the ambitions of the group and to strategically develop our function to become the preferred partner in our markets for suppliers, CMOs & pharmaceutical developers.
Our team currently consists of 8 full-time employees and 4 student assistants, covering all parts of the licensing process – from idea to contract. We work in close collaboration with many other functions from Regulatory Affairs to Sales & Marketing to ensure that new products get to market as quickly as possible.
You will be part of a busy work environment working with people dedicated to improving the well-being of patients and minimizing expenses for the payers. We work in a result-oriented manner, which at times requires a high level of expertise and dedication – and at other times a more flexible approach to tasks and challenges.
Orifarm is the largest parallel importer of pharmaceuticals in Europe and the largest supplier of pharmaceuticals in Denmark. Orifarm was founded in 1994 by Birgitte and Hans Bøgh-Sørensen and, through our main business areas, we provide large savings for both patients and society. The explorer spirit still characterizes the company, as we are constantly looking for new opportunities and business areas to invest in. In 2021, Orifarm faces its greatest milestone with a major acquisition, which will contribute to our further growth and the achievement of our visions.
In Orifarm we place great emphasis on both your professional and personal development and on allowing you to bring all of your skills into play.
We are located in Odense, where you will work with our dedicated colleagues in an open office environment, which allows us to have a friendly and informal atmosphere.
We offer a competitive compensation & benefits package and our staff canteen offers a variety of healthy menus every day, and physiotherapy will also be at your disposal.
For student assistants, we have a student network, which offers yearly events of both social and professional character. At the moment, about 40 students are working in Orifarm and the network help brings their competencies into play throughout the organization.
