About the job
Orifarm works in a business area where shortage of the supply is rather the rule than the exception. In this environment, your goal as a purchaser will be to ensure the best possible deals in combination of price and volume.
In close cooperation with the Area Manager for West Central Europe, you will have your share of the purchase responsibility in Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary and Holland. You will be responsible for building and sustaining close relationships with the suppliers.
You are able to see and execute on new opportunities before our competitors, providing creative solutions without compromising your daily structure.
In your daily work, you will place orders, negotiate with the suppliers, visit the suppliers and participate at trade fairs. In dialogue with the suppliers and internal stakeholders, you look for new business opportunities and constantly try to optimize and develop the portfolio.
Ongoing communication and alignment with the other purchasers are crucial in order to make the best decisions.
Your daily work place will be at the Orifarm headquarters in Odense, approx. 30-40 days per year you will be travelling across Europe visiting our suppliers etc..

The purchase department is responsible for handling and ensuring the optimal combination of price and volume when purchasing pharmaceuticals for our parallel import business area.
You will be part of a team which consists of 16 motivated and highly qualified employees with a dynamic work attitude. While working hard we value an informal and friendly atmosphere with room for a good laugh and social activities.
Who you are
We are open for both recent graduates and candidates with several years of experience, preferably in commercial positions like purchasing or key account management.
You are proactive in your approach and possess a great drive combined with initiative and flexibility which enables you to challenge status quo, identify new opportunities and drive improvements.
You are organized with strong planning ability, problem solving and time management skills.
You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders.
You communicate fluently in English, both written and oral (French and/or German will be a plus).
It is also an advantage if you have experience in making decisions based on forecasts, the competitive landscape, inventory levels, contribution ratios and other key figures.
