Procurement Specialist, Clinical Trial Supplies

About the job
As a Procurement Specialist, you will provide Orifarm with the lowest possible purchase prices and at the same time secure supply volumes according to the specifics needs of our customers. Moreover, you will focus on keeping the highest possible positive cash-flow and avoid obsolete products at all time. Operationally, you will collect information, procure and support allocation to match the special requirements of the Clinical Trial Supplies (CTS) business. Strategically, you will take part in developing the supply chain strategy for optimized sourcing and planning procurement activities that match our customer’s delivery schedule.
Additionally, your key responsibilities include:
- Handling the purchase of comparators and co-meds for clinical trials in EU and globally
- Segmentation of new global markets and direct sourcing opportunities
- Handling the supplier relations in the designated markets
- Handling the product allocation of the relevant lines that does not comply with the standard systems of Orifarm
- Maintaining, developing and driving process optimization to fully utilize the cross-functional capabilities within Orifarm
Who are you?
We expect you to hold a higher education (e.g. a Commercial - and/or Natural Sciences Education). Further, we imagine that you have experience within supply chain, procurement and trading. Moreover, you have international experience and are able to build cross-cultural relationships as you will interact with diverse stakeholders worldwide. Therefore, strong relational – and collaboration skills are essential.
Further, we imagine that you:
- Possess solid English skills, bot written and spoken
- Are a proven negotiator
- Have IT competencies (Excel, Microsoft Office etc.)
- Possess knowledge of GDP/GMP
- Are able/willing to travel
Since we expect you to present complicated data in an easy accessible way, an analytical and structured approach to problem solving is preferable. Moreover, within the pharmaceutical industry.

The job is located at our head office in 5260 Odense but you have the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
